Title: Can hunger be alleviated with analgesics?
Post by: Pseudoscience-is-malarkey on 22/10/2016 08:04:54
While fasting, Shinto monks attach (under their kaminos) a heated stone on their chest to stave off hunger. Heated stones are also used (in undeveloped worlds) to deal with almost all physical pains. Can regular, over-the-counter analgesics stave off hunger as well? Hunger is a pain afterall.

... Hunger is a pain afterall.

Hunger is a sense : a form of interoception (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sense#Other_internal_senses).
