Title: Chris in Australia
Post by: chris on 06/04/2007 22:22:27
Dear all

I shall be heading down under to the lovely land of Oz on Tuesday (touchdown is 1800 in Sydney, Tuesday evening) for a few weeks.

So, if anyone sees a pale looking English bloke wandering around in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, and he looks like me, please come and say hello!

Incidentally, I shall be doing Triple J with Dr Karl on Thursday next week, so please call me up and say hello if you catch it. And for any of the home crowd who feel left out, we'll be doing Five Live "Up All Night" together on Thursday morning (3-4am UK time)!

Have a nice Easter everyone.

Chris

That's right, real die-hards could listen to Triple J from 2-3, then flick over to Five Live from 3-4 for more science mayhem. Or you could just do the sensible thing and go to bed!

Karen, are you on UK time? If not .... may I please suggest calculating the difference from Sydney to where you are? You may catch it then. OR do you have a type of radio only reserved fro the military and spies? One that will actally modulate time as well as frequency and/or amplitude?

Or are you an alien?

Now I am getting scared...  what ARE you woman, if your human that is?   [:0]  [:o]  [:0]

Hey, thanks Paul - glad you liked.

shortly after that appearance Naked Scientists went to the top of the Aussie download charts on iTunes - someone was kind enough to come up and tell me that in Melbourne when I was sitting with a bunch of influential people from the ABC...I told him that the cheque's in the post!

I'm now back, in case anyone hadn't gathered, and I'll be back in action on the radio here from Thursday.

No problem, Chris. even though you still have to answer my question about  how a fly lands! Of the 3 science podcasts i down load yours and Dr Karls are two of them. i suspect you enjoy the aspect of triple j where you are not as constrained in your language as you are on the BBC.
