Title: I can't work out how to add a display picture to my profile?

So yeah, I can't find any control in the profile settings page to add a display picture.

How's it done?

Some people have an image in their profile, is that what you are asking about?

Click on profile at the top, then under modify profile on the left, click on forum profile information. Scroll down to the signature area of your profile. See on the left of the text box it says BBC code can be used. That means bulletin board code.. so all the functions you can use in a post, you can put in a signature.

So to put an image do this...

Code: [Select]

e.g.

Once you have updated your profile, click on Profile at the top and you should see the image.

There is a limit to the size of the picture that can be displayed without having to scroll in the box when you view your profile. I measure it at 100 pixels high by 234 wide.

It also looks like the signature function has been turned off by default in posts to reduce spam ( I think it's a good idea ). You can change that under look and layout preferences under modify profile.

If you are asking about avatars, thats the small image on the left of a post, I think the board settings do not allow all users to have an avatar. This is beyond your control.
