Usually a man with plenty of stamina...  [:I]

Failing that I like toast coffee and yoghurt!

Its 3.54pm here and I am hungry, and its nowhere near dinner time!

Did someone mention stamina?

I'm hungry too, and I still have to cycle home. Rainy wet mornings? That'd be a cooked breakfast. Dry sunny mornings? That'd be a cooked breakfast. Right now? Nice piece of pork pie.

I always prefer savoury stuff when I'm hungry - how 'bout you?

Massive bowl of cereal. I don't mess about, I have a massive bowl and fill it with like half a box of cereal and half a bottle of milk and go nuts.

For some reason I have just recalled a 32oz steak I had, with all the trimmings, in a restaurant in Tintagel. SLURP!

I wasn't hungry until I read this thread. Now I'm starving but have no kitchen to make anything in. I'm having a new Kitchen so will be in a state for the next three weeks. All the food I have has a thin layer of dust on it. Is dust high calorie or low calorie. I'll ask the fat fighters leader.
I think I'll have a hot chocolate.

You could always open a tin of sardines, get some bread, mustard, pickles and onions and make a sandwich.

JimBob has smelly breath before the sandwich. The sandwich actually helps to quell the stench!

I agree - cereal wins every time! Had a mid-afternoon bowl of bran flakes today. bran flakes in summer with chopped strawberries is delish. Absolutely love crunchy nut cornflakes too.  [:P] And Sainsbury's do this oat and honey cereal in an orange plastic pack, but it's been of stock for ages and I'm pining for it!

Ah now ya see I am pastie ambivilent (sp?, mainly because I don't much like pastry, I see no point in it other to contain the nice stuff inside! I'm like a kid, I will eat the pastry if its been coated with the filling, but not the crust!!

Does that go for pies too ? (and fruit pies ?) ...it is nice if the pastry has absorbed the gravy !

Neil I like cornish pasties as well also sausage rolls and the larger ones the yummier.

Usually the gravy's all in the pastry and I'm
in a right mess afterwards.  [8D]

Yep the same applies, I will only eat the pastry if its been coated witht he gravy or fruit filling! And even then sometimes I leave the sides/top as well as the crust!
You know the mini Mr Kipling fruit pies? I even break the crusts off those before eating them, and put the crusts in the foil container. [8D]

My oldest son, who is a chef- made us dinner last night.  I had some fresh halibut and fresh (well, fresh flash frozen) Florida lobster tails.  He broiled the halibut to perfection, served it on a bed of sliced, cooked yams and covered it with an etouffee made from the lobster tails and some local muscles he found.

I never would have thought about using yams- but it was the perfect counterpoint to the spicy etouffee.

GAD!  My mouth is starting to water again just thinking about what a great meal it was.

Sounds great Bass.. I actually like Halibut as long as there is no sign of skin on it. Yummy white fish! Sounds like a lovely way to serve it.

My eldest son second child likes to cook also.. like his dad! I think he may be a tad better cook then Dad!
