Title: Was the Casimir effect observed with charged plates?

Does anyone know if the Casimir experiment was made with charged plates (-+ and ++ or --)?

If so, what was the result?

No, these plates are only separated by very short distances. The pressure of vacuum fluctuations or what is referred to as vacuum pressure is responsible for the Casimir effect.

Experiments have been conducted that have shown these pressures and measurements recorded proving the existence of this zero point energy.

I know that. But I wonder how an electrical field will change the results, experimentally.

I thought it could be done, maybe with different nanomaterials ordered in grids, lines and layers. The charges must be confined somehow.

I search a "proof" that there is an attractive force and a repulsive force, not only a repulsive one. This is a challenge to the equivalence principle. Not that I think this principle is totally wrong but it could be modified. Why inertia is local and gravity is not?

Don't rely on the equivalence principle to prove the equivalence principle...

OK, then I must beg your pardon for my misinterpretation of your question. I have no information regarding that possibility but I do see where such an experiment might shine some new light on things. If you do run across such an experiment, please detail it hear and I promise to do likewise.
