1-"Naked Science" by Christopher Smith
2- "A brief history of science" Consultant editor John Gribben
3- "UNIVERSE The Cosmos Explained" By Collin A. Ronan
4-"Essential EINSTEIN" EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORLDS MOST ACADEMIC GENIUS. BY Shana Priwer and Cynthia Phillips PH.D.
I really like this one it is easy to read and has tons of brief but not boring information on on a bit of everything from the theory of relativity to Quantum Mechanics... Einsteins take etc.. Newton theory everything you can think of and easy to follow and easy reading also..
Someone else out there should have some with some really cool experiments etc.. Perhaps Paul can make a suggestion or numerous other members also!

Here's a link to the National Science Teachers Association "Outstanding Science Trade Books for Grades K-12." They seperate the books into different categories (much like the forums here on this site). Lots of options!
