Since I was little (I am 22 now), if I eat or even SMELL a raw onion, I would be sick. I have to get people to cut onions with the doors shut in my house.
The smell of fried onions does not make me sick, however.
It is also to be noted that I enjoy curries, the little onions in there don't make me sick. Weird.
Any ideas? Is it physchological? What would cause this extreme reaction to the smell and taste of raw onion?

I have no idea, but I can believe it.
I can eat raw apples with no problems at all, but any kind of cooked apples give me a horrible sore tummy.

Cooking tends to change amino acids, vitamins and other enzymes, so it's possible you have a lesser reaction to uncooked food than cooked. (or vice versa I suppose)
