She did have a safety line!!!  What is the challenge with that?

An 80 MPH (or KPH) wind between trucks would have been much easier to deal with than a 80 MPH gusty wind in a hurricane (along with flying debris).

What is the deal with choosing a road with a tunnel?  I suppose they would have locked up the brakes if she was at a point where she could not get to safety.

The drag is proportional to the square of the wind speed,

so at 77kph, i.e. 48mph, the wind force is only 36% that at “80mph”.

So not nearly as impressive as advertised on the www.msnbc.msn.com website,

Yes,

I've had many people leaning into the window of my Fiat 500 (the old one) and noticing the speedometer goes up to 130...  which they think is quite impressive for the little car.  Very few notice that it is 130 kph.  And, I don't think I've gotten it that high yet, even going down a steep hill.

In many states, the speed limit for trucks is still 55 MPH, and they can generate quite a bit of turbulence behind the truck.

48 MPH would still have been impressive had she not been using a safety line.

Wing Walkers, of course, climb around on the wings of planes, at whatever speed biplanes are flying.
