I desperately need to find a natural energy source for the morning. I don't eat breakfast, can't eat that early, but I do have a protein shake. By my second class of the day, I have a hard time staying awake. I do Karate 4 days a week, and these are very intense 2 hour workouts. I'm looking for something that gives me energy but breaks me off caffeine. Is there any supplement or vitamin that will do this?
Thanks.

If you really need energy, then you really want something like carbohydrates. All supplements will do is get you body to burn more energy, but will not actually give you the energy to burn. If you are really burning that much energy (and I imagine the Karate will do that), then there can be no substitute for actually consuming the energy (e.g. sugars, complex carbohydrates, or fats - but simple sugars are very short term, so better to go for a slower burning energy source, unless you just need a quick spurt of energy for a very short time).

so this will keep me awake through the school day

If you are genuinely suffering an energy shortfall, rather than just sleep deprivation, then it should help - anyway, the only way you are going to find out is to give it a go.
