Title: Do biological rhythms reset appropriately when the clocks go back/forward?
Post by: serbia on 13/11/2014 16:06:00
hi there - quick q - Do biological rhythms reset appropriately when the clocks go back/forward? And if so how long does this take. Specifically in the context of regular medications. e.g if the body is "used" to taking a certain regular drug at a set event time, such as 7 am which co-incides with sun rise, is the body clued in to this event rather than the actual clock time?

To expand - i take some meds through out the day at fairly regular intervals. take too much of the meds in a short space of time and i get side effects. As the clocks changed recently i decided to continue taking my meds at the "old" time. So i'm now taking my meds 1 hour earlier according to clock time, and seem to be getting side effects.
