Howcome something like..sulpher doesnt affect me..yet the stench of rotting flesh turns my stomach?
-
I think it is possibly a survival mechanism that has evolved over time. As Hominids lost their ability to digest rotten meat - most omnivores have trouble eating meat highly infested with bacteria, we have neither the stomach acids nor the immune system to tolerate it - this physical reaction evolved because someone threw up, survived and their descendants became more and more sensitive to the rotten meat, including the smell.
it just a stab in the darl but makes sense to me!

"Who said anything about school trips?"
I was trying to think of where you may be exposed to rotting flesh.
