Title: How does time of eating influence bowel movements?
Post by: thedoc on 03/12/2016 17:23:01
Karen asked the Naked Scientists:
Hi the Naked Scientists! I love your show (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/).

I have noticed (repeatedly) that when I'm hungry, if I don't eat right away (eg, I'm at work or in class) then after awhile, I start to want to poo pretty readily, but if I eat right away (ie have food handy), then I don't get that good bowel moment.
Why is that?
What do you think?
