What's going on??
It's usually SUMMER time!
I don't know the last time it was blazing with sunlight here! It has rained almost everyday for 2 months. I'm sure of it!
And according to this teacher.. They said that the only day it isn't going to rain is July 15th and then all the summer is raining again.. So there isn't a summer apparently..
I'm not even sure this is true, but it's sure getting me worried!
Isn't global warming and climate change meant to warm the UK up not cool it??
-
It is still raining there?? Hey Seany, do you have a good link I could get to keep currant with your weather there?
-
www.bbc.co.uk/weather (http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather)
Just type the country and/or city you wish to know the weather about!
-
Incase you want to know the EXACT weather in my location..
It's "swindon" [;)]
-
Hmm.. Supposedly, it's OK on friday [;D]
-
WHAT?? LOL
Well that is nice but not much of a reprieve!
-
Oh nevermind where you are locally .. DOH...
-
[;D] How's the weather there?
-
Oh ya.. There's also tons of floods in the north.. Water levels up to half the red telephone boxes... It's crazy.

That is what yo said in the other thread.. It is amazing to me how much water has fallen.. Did you get a chance to read what Jim Bob posted about the Texas rain?

Hi Seany
It's true that global warming is likely to increase the temperature in the UK. But, it doesn't necessarily follow that there will be more sunshine. Winters are becoming warmer, hence less and less snow; springs are warmer, hence the migration further north of many creatures and so on. Increases in the temperature will have a profound effect on the local weather patterns and rainfall distributions. Noone really knows what the individual effect is going to be. If you look at the IPCC reports, there are 21 models used to predict changes in temperature and precipitation. Although there is quite a high degree of difference in their predictions, as a mean for the UK there will be an increase in average annual temperature of about 2-3°C and rainfall increase of about 10%. However, these predictions are continually under review, and usually end up on the higher side of the original prediction. It is also predicted that there will be an increased likelyhood of the kind of weather you've been experiencing, with pseudo tropical rainfall and flash flooding. However, periods of drought are also likely too. The upshot is that the weather that we are likely to experience will be more extreme in either direction, so it might end up as either a flood summer, or a drought summer.
Don't forget, however, the "rose tinted glasses" that we tend to wear when we remember previous summers! I seem to recall long hot summers too, but I think we tend to forget more readily the cold wet ones.

This is what we've got now. These were all fields a couple of weeks ago.

on sunday, whilst driving in the rain, i saw a rainbow in the spray from the car in front's tyre. i have never seen that before...it was pretty cool.
-
Forget global warming. The reason it's raining so much is that it's Wimbledon fortnight.

My dad goes on business trips to Germany.. He says that the temperature is around 30 odd degrees celcius there!

Drivers struggling through the floods in Sheffield
I think Sheffield is the worst so far..

I think it is starting to drain now.. But still some places are doomed
Apparently in Hull (city), the council needs 200million pounds to repair the damage there.
