General Science / Where can I find the definition of "label claim viscosity"

Its in relation to hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose which comes in many different viscosity grades. The question is, is the "label claim viscosity" the nominal value of a grade ie 5cP, or the actual measured value of an individual batch of that particular grade which could be (for example) 5.1cP?

When heated it changes from white to yellow (and back to white as it cools), but I can't find the temperature the change happens at - can anybody help please?

Hi all, I came across this forum purely by chance the other day and decided it would be interesting to sign up.
Anyway, I thought I'd ask if anyone out there has fitted a capillary injector to a Pekin Elmer Autosystem GC and if so what - if anything - did you do about make up gas since there doesn't seem to be any plumbing for it?
