Ciao Frecciadiluce!

Apparently it's a relic from the past...
today ammonia shouldn't be used to treat
insect bites: it might worsen inflammation!

Ops!
That link WAS working yesterday,
I rechecked it many times...
Try this one or cross on Google
(italian): ammoniaca+"punture d'insetto"

http://www.imondonauti.it/doc/sanita/sezioni/insetti.htm

"NO all'ammoniaca, perché aumenta l'edema e il prurito"

Actually the previous link was better,
because they were arguing why -by law-
you have to carry ammonia in first-aid
boxes on boats if it's supposed to be
useless or even harmful for insect bites...

riCiao!

ikoD

P.S. Try again that previous link: NOW it's working fine!
