The engineering dept has been asked to resolve a problem, a certian
piece of of kit has to be able to to do, x,y,z, so we come up with a
solution, only to be told that now it has to also do a,b,c, so us
engineeres laugh, our boss gets a flea up the khyber pass, and says
it has to be resolved, we say ok, give us loads of money and we will,
When he tells us we have have a very limited budget, us engineers
laugh our socks off, and our boss looks as if he will have a heart attack, we ask (him) for a solution and he does a bassil fawlty impresion, and we laugh till our balls ache, are we bad ?

PS, our boss is now in hospital, having an opperation on his sinuses, we must have totally
got up his nose, but we are good at heart, and have sent him a week old curry to tittilate
his hopefully new found sense.

When I worked as a software development manager, we used to get that all the time. My boss once asked for a major change 2 days before an exhibition. I think the word "laugh" is an understatement for my reaction.
