I'm afraid to google this question because such a search will invariably bring up pictures of them, which I find unsettling.

This is an interesting question. Big "Boobies" or breasts , seem particularly prevalent in males of the human species.

Are there any other mammalian species which exhibit this tendency for males to grow big breasts? If so, why?

PS:  Pseudo, there's no need to regard well-developed male breasts as "unsettling".   They can be very attractive, to those of us of a certain persuasion.

The technical term for this is gynecomastia. Men with low testosterone production or an excess of the female sex hormone estrogen are often affected. However, it can also be due to, for example, chronic liver or kidney failure or the Klinefelter and Gilbert syndrome. Most of the time, however, nutrition is the reason. Men who often drink large amounts of beer are more likely to be affected. The use of hormones in the meat industry is also said to promote the spread of gynecomastia.
You should still google it, because you can look at the symptoms there and compare them with yourself. There are no dramatic images, no worries.
