Allegedly this cancer test is capable of detecting a "one single circulating tumour cell" in vivo.
I'm skeptical, here's one of the reasons why ...
a video of a normal mouse (no cancer) being given an injection of indocyanine green (ICG) whilst illuminated by Infra Red. Mickey lights-up like a Christmas-tree because ICG binds to components of normal blood.

My first thought was the bottom image is photo-shopped.
I've tried to think of possible physical explanations ...
The light-source has laser speckle. Laser light can be highly polarized.
Polarized-light can be severely-attenuated by a polarizing filter.
But the lenses in question are water-clear, (polarizing filters are noticeably darker than clear-glass).
Laser light is highly monochromatic. If the glass had an absorption line at the laser wavelength that could selectively attenuate that colour. Having said that, the phenomenon would only be for that one colour.
I'm sticking with photo-shop.

BTW if their glass-cover selectively attenuates visible blue-light, shouldn't it have an orange/yellow tint ? ...
