But, in principle, your spinning magnet warms it up a bit.

The effects are much less than Eddy current generated in metals, thus doesn't significantly change the temperature measurement.

The experiment in the video clearly shows this.

By the way, if you say "an ideal gas" rather than "helium", you can get round the problem that it isn't actually ideal.

I've changed helium with ideal gas to avoid unnecessary arguments.

In this scenario, we get an increase in system entropy without any change in temperature nor internal energy.

Out of nowhere, I found out that log of sine function of imaginary number looks like Y function.

In mathematics, the Riemann sphere, named after Bernhard Riemann, [1] is a model of the extended complex plane (also called the closed complex plane): the complex plane plus one point at infinity. This extended plane represents the extended complex numbers, that is, the complex numbers plus a value ∞ for infinity. I reread my older post, and found that this diagram needs more elaboration.

In Riemann's sphere,
- The blue circle represents the real axis of complex number plane.
- The green circle represents the imaginary axis of complex number plane.
- The red circle represents the unitary circle of complex number plane. Every point in this circle is equidistant from zero.

In Zeta sphere,
- The blue circle represents the real axis of complex number plane.
- The green circle represents the critical line of Zeta function.
- The red circle represents the "unitary circle" of Zeta function.
The values in intersection points between green and red circles were determined from investigation on S function.

Does someone have access to Vantablack? Its usage is currently restricted for public use.
I'd like to see if single edge diffraction can still occur when the obstacle absorb more than 99.9% of the light hitting its surface.
I also want to see double edge diffraction, or widely known as single slit diffraction with aperture covered by Vantablack.

I think the most effective way to block light is by total reflection. According to how Vantablack works, it's obvious that some light necessarily penetrates or pass through several layers of the material, which inevitably causes diffraction.

I didn't expect to read this comment, so I checked it with ChatGPT.

Excellent presentation. Thanks. It seems to me that there's another conundrum. I read some where that the vector cross product does not exist in any randomly chosen number of dimensions. It does exist in 3 dimensions and in 7 dimensions. This means that you can't imagine that there are 4 dimensions of space because maxwell's equations would not work. But you can imagine that there are 7. The conundrum will be, however, if the 7 dimensional meaning of cross product is the same as the 3+1d version if we are trapped in a 3+1d brane in  7+1d space. But it's it the same? If not, that could eliminate the possibility that we live in universe with a higher number of dimensions - wouldn't it?

I Always Wondered Whether Electro-Magnetic Fields are Even Real?!

I was always wondering whether the electromagnetic fields are real or just mathematical objects. This is how I understand it now after some years of studying physics.

And here's some comments.

I believe that magnetic "Lines of Force" are a nonsensical construction that emerged because the iron filings used to explore magnetic fields arranged themselves into lines. The field is clearly continuous, and any lines made visible from iron filings are an emergent property of iron filings sprinkled onto the paper over a bar magnet. All this should be obvious, but one still runs across people that speak of "lines" as if they were a fundamental part of nature.

Electro-Maganetic fields are as real as gravity!  Math is just a language to describe reality.  They are both testable and so are scientific realities.

Magnetic field lines are no more real than contour lines on a map or isobars on a weather chart.
 Magnetic field lines are drawn in line with the field gradient, whereas the others I mentioned are perpendicular to their gradients.

Here's another thought experiment to check our understanding of temperature, and its relationship with entropy.
Two isolated containers each with 1 cubic meter volume. Their internal surface is perfectly elastic, thus doesn't absorb energy from molecules hitting it. A small pipe equipped with a closed valve is connecting those containers. Initially, the first container contains ideal gas at STP, while the second container is at vacuum. The whole system is inside a space lab, isolated from outside  world.
When the valve is opened, some gas molecules will move to the second container. Since the collision with the container walls are elastic, they maintain their kinetic energy. At equilibrium, the flow rate from the first container equals the reverse flow. The pressure of both containers become half of standard pressure. The temperature is still at standard temperature, according to ideal gas law, P.V=n.R.T
The gas, which initially occupied 1 cubic meter of volume, now occupy 2 cubic meter.

Penrose is one of the only people that speaks coherently about these matters. Everyone else is lost in mathematical details until they cannot explain what Wednesday means..

Just like Einstein said when Minkowski "mathematized" special relativity: 'Since the mathematicians have invaded the theory of relativity, I do not understand it myself any more'

He correctly points out the cheat of the QM and then introduces one of his own, just as bad 😅

This quote was cut form the interview: "Unfortunately, if you were to take out the old cheat and replace it with a new cheat, you'd end up with Herpes."

He has the confidence to say what most others don't.

You will only broaden the spectrum from a large sample by having an inhomogeneous field or an inhomogeneous sample (chemical shift). The gyromagnetic ratio of the proton is fixed.

Still, it shows that the frequency is not quantized.

The results in the last experiment has a pattern.
The first graph shows the voltage measurement against the weight/charge ratio of the salts.


The second graph shows the voltage measurement against the weight/charge ratio of the salts, when the charge of MgCl2 is "corrected" to make the graph linear.


The second graph shows the voltage measurement against the weight/charge ratio of the salts, when the molecular weight of MgCl2 is "corrected" to make the graph linear.

The next step is to conduct the experiment with other ionic solutions, like HCl and LiCl. I didn't use them because of their hazards, or economic consideration. But with the latest development, it becomes necessary to rule out some uncertainties.
Perhaps I also need to experiment with different shapes and materials for the conductor below the ionic solutions.
