Title: How Does An Injured Cat Become A Friendlier Cat ?
Post by: neilep on 15/02/2011 20:05:52
Dearest Catologists,

As a sheepy I am of course extremely friendly. Being friendly is all I think about. From the moment I get up out of bed to the moment I fall back asleep, being friendly monopolises my every waking moment !.......send me gifts and I'll be even friendlier !

Check this cat out

Nice eh ?

A Cat Earlier At The Time It Was Photographed Sometime Ago

I read today that a cat that has been through a traumatic experience  such as a car accident or eating my wife's cooking, will go through a second socialisation phase while they are still hospitalised ! This means that in most cases they will be even friendlier (sometimes the opposite)

I know this for a fact because (This one time ...at Band Camp....)...............I knew a cat that had lost it's leg in an accident and when it returned home it was the friendliest cat I have ever known !.....It was friendly in the extreme !

What I would like to know is how does this change of behaviour happen ?...Why go through a second socialisation ?

Thanking ewe for your kind consideration in this matter !

Hugs and shmishes

mwah mwah mwah

Tripod cat is less able to interact with its peers (cats) : minus one leg it’s going to have difficulty getting a date or defending itself in, (or running away from), a fight, so tripod interacts more with humans instead.

it could have been worse ... http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=34862.msg329269#msg329269

Very Funny Poem... I think those missing words may be considered brain farts as well as laps in memory! LOL...LOL...
It is very interesting to know it is sort of a common thing with cat critters. Do you think it might apply to other domestic animals in the same situations?
