Very simply, Cosmology is the greek for two words, order and reason (i think). In a nut shell it's the study of the universe on scales of length and time, although there are many different aspects of cosmology.

Someone far more cleverer [;)] (not tapping phone keys) than I will be pleased to explain them.

Cosmology = the study of the past, present & future of the universe.

Cosmetology = the science of beauty (a beautician is a cosmetologist)

I liked the quantizitation of beauty that was published by 'Free Grid' in the 'Wireless World', i.e the unit of beauty is the milli Helen the amount of beauty that will result in the launching of one ship see ( Tragical history of Dr Faustus 'Marlowe')
