that the earth is 'collecting' debris from space all the time (I agree that this probably happens), then he goes on to say that you can see this by putting a clean white sheet out on your back lawn and then return later and you'll see black specs all over the sheet.
How does this prove that it is space dirt and not just earth from Earth?
I heard him say it more than once, though it may have been ages ago I listen to old podcasts a lot...

Because of the 'spaces' between the specs???!!!

Air pollution, not space dirt. That is my conclusion.

Actually, the majority of space debris is water, all from small-sized water meteorites - at least that is my current understanding of the subject.

Isn't this were most of the earth's water came from in the first place? From various comets hitting the earth?

This is the leading theory: Accretionary Earth. But there are nay-sayers in every subject.
