Title: Can vinegar be used as a rinsing aid?
Post by: katieHaylor on 22/06/2018 13:27:15
Jo asks:

Is it true that a dash of vinegar in hot rinsing water will help remove
the soap from dishes that have just been washed?

What do you think?

Haven’t seen that anywhere, it may be that it comes from the idea that you can use vinegar as a rinse aid in dishwashers. Miele says in their manuals:

“Alternatively, it is possible to use household vinegar with a max. 5% acid content or Liquid citric acid with up to 10% acid content.”

In this case the acid is removing calcium spots from the crockery.
