Title: Odd Dream Event
Post by: Mr. Blonde on 06/01/2005 05:07:49

Now, afew months back I had a most odd dream. It consisted of me being in some hospital type room. There were 3 or 4 stereotypical scientists, the white coats N' all. A semi stereotypical high ranking army offical. The dark navy suit, with a breast pocket covered in pins and all that. He had a scientist with him who injected something into the back of my neck. After this my head started to vibrate and move incredbily quick. Almost like out of a horror movie. The main 'scientist' had a clipboard with numerous things with boxes checked off, and ones remaining to be checked off. After that happened I said it was "No more of this bull****!" A phone rang and that was the end of that dream. I had more that night, odd ones, but they dont tie into the main picture. The real kicker to all this is, the morning and the entire day after waking up, I was unable to turn my head AT all in the right direction, where I was injected in my dream. How is this possible?

Hi Mr Blonde (Jack),.......I wonder if your symptoms the next day were psychosomatic in nature because of your dream, or perhaps you did in fact sleep in an awkward position and you were subconsciously aware of the discomfort, and this in part was indicated in the nature of your dream., of course it's entirely possible that the two are completely unrelated and it appears to be a coincidence. How long were you unable to turn your head ? and did it hurt ?

It's possible that your dream acted as a strong suggestive influence and this resulted in your symptons the following day.....but...I'm not a dream therapist and I'm just speculating, but the theory to me sounds plausible. Lets see if someone else can shed some light here.

Good luck and welcome to the site.

Perhaps you slept badly and the pain in your neck triggered the thought sequences that became that odd dream.

Alternatively, perhaps you pulled a muscle as you tried, in your sleep, to escape the injection ?

I couldnt move my neck to the right for the rest of that day. It hurt alot. And it didnt hurt before I went to sleep. Nor has this occured before, waking up with a sore neck that is.

sometimes I find myself actually doing the things I'm dreaming about ... like punching, picking up imaginary obejects and moving them around, bizarre stuff like that, maybe you were moving your head around because you were dreaming it, rather than the other way round.

were you watching anything on TV recently about conspiracy theories, alien abductions, top secret military human research etc?
