Technology / Re: Is there a device to freeze my drink asap?
« on: 25/03/2021 19:40:15 »
Hello @scientizscht
🙋

A couple of things could be done collectively...helps Me!
👍

Chill the empty glass by placing it in the Refrigerator, it absorbs the heat of the drink pretty quick, but not all of it Obviously.
🥛

Use metal ice cubes...they stay cool for longer than regular ice cubes & also do Not end up dissolving extra water & diluting your drink.
⬜

Thee Best way is to simply keep a spare drink in the Refrigerator.
👍
Make your New hot drink n let it cool down to room temperature & shift it into the refrigerator to chill.
(1 hour process)
By that time, just remove the already previously placed spare drink n Njoy it.
(1 minute process)

P.S. - If you fail to Plan...you plan to Fail.
👍
Critical Thinking comes in handy.
CheerZ!

That CAN'T be true! / Re: Why are TROLLS being Allowed to run Amok?
« on: 23/03/2021 17:12:21 »
@Jolly2

Hello there...
🙏

At first, i thought it would be simply futile to respond to your Post.
(I still feel somewhat the same)
But...i have this uncanny ability to surprise my ownself...hence, here's a Response.
👍
(Apologies for the delay)

Jolly...you kinda Misunderstood what i was tryin to point out at...
😑
I certainly wasn't questioning the Subject Matter of the OPs...
No Questions are Stoopid!
👍
All i wished to state was that there needs to be a Limit per User inorder to create new OPs.
There are no specified limits set as yet by the Webpage Forum Designer...coz perhaps We all are mature enough to follow chat etiquettes & that's something taken to be part of basic principles of any forum...to be nice & courteous & follow unstated guidlines & silent rules.

My only concern was, just as Some Users create 10(ten) different OPs in a single day...the other OPs get pushed down the page...& Most if em simply go unanswered.
🙏
Imagine...you register n login n create an OP for the very first time on this forum...& For complete 2(two) months there are no takers...not a Single response to your OP...would that really make you feel Jolly Good?
😑

Perhaps You do Not face the same dillema, coz you keep on n on posting comments single handedly in your OPs, hence they are afloat always atop each sub section of the forum.
🙏
(Again, plz do not misunderstand, im not complaining)

I cannot help but simply Agree with You on the point that " We need to have More discussions, Not Less ".
The Only aspect i wish to elaborate & emphasize upon is as " Quantity " matters, so does " Quality ".
👍
Less chitty chatter...but alot more meaningful wouldn't really be such a bad thing as it sounds.

I have No personal beef with you, none whatsoever!
🙏
But citing Conspiracy Theories & especially invoking GOD onto a Science Forum feels a bit disheartening & disrespectful.

Anyways, if i have ended up stirring all sorts of the wrong emotions in You...then Please do Forgive Me!
🙏
As i mentioned prior, i shall refrain from posting in your OPs but do not expect the same from You.
Please feel free to hijack my OPs with C.T.s & other stuff which is completely non evidental & pure work of Faith or Belief.

P.S. - May Your GOD/S provide You the Strength to Stop bowing down to Commandments & to Start Critically Thinking for your Ownself.
🤞
Tc!

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Which stars by name or type emit polarised light?

Found a Lengthy article on Polarised Light.
👍

I'm still searching for Astronomical sources besides Regulus Egg Crab & Jupiter...a lil more time required.
🙏

P.S. C'ya soon.

Hi @Astrogazer
🙋

You seem to have already figured out everything for yourself...so what exactly are you seeking...like a complete list of all such Stars with their precise locations in the Sky?

« on: 06/03/2021 15:18:15 »
@Halc
😊
🙏

Hmm...Your detailed description has allowed me to finally Unwrap my head around that " Aether " hypothesis.
👍

Say...why would you want to pull ur car bumper off even if u could...lol
Anyways, does it have that " sh1t Happens " logo on it?
🤔

And ofcourse, when it comes to jumping inside a blackhole...i gotta do it yes...wow! Ur a meanie!
😏
Anyways, I'm familiar with " Sphaggetification "...is that even a word?
🤔

New stuff i learned...Sgt A does hold on slightly but it's the mass of the whole Mway(22000) times that helps keep it in shape.
👍
Did You know the Earth accelerates  & deaccelerates while moving around the sun in the ecliptical orbit...cool Right!
😎

Anyways, why have such different shades of User levels...perhaps it just encourages a few to keep blabbering n posting randomly inorder to level up.
🤔

& say...just having a nicknamed Zer0 wasn't blunt enough eh!
So perhaps i should change that being human stuff...
Yep!
It might suit me, but it does Not help me...
Tanks 4 d Idea!
😉👍

P.S. - Thank You Very Much for explaining things soo Nicely.
🙏
Next time when you sleep or doze off, go down with a smile on ur face thinking U made a difference in this world...a positive one that is.
🖖
Regards,

General Science / Re: Why can I see the moon during the day?
« on: 05/03/2021 16:53:38 »
We can see the moon during the day for the same reason we see the moon at night. The surface of the moon is reflecting the sun's light into our eyes.

When we see the moon during the day it's because the moon is in the right spot in the sky and it's reflecting enough light to be as bright, or brighter, than the sky.

@charles1948

Halc seems to have done a killer job in explaining it all...hence No point in elaboration, no scope or space left for it atall.
👍

Just something to ponder over or think about...if everything was indeed spreading & scattering away from everything else...
Then how come the Andromeda Galaxy is all set to collide with the Milky Way Galaxy.
✌️😊

P.S. - Einstein's Greatest treasure was a Brain...& Guess what, We All have it too.

« on: 25/02/2021 19:00:41 »

@charles1948
Even thou your thoughts or Your definition of " Life " might sound absurd & weird to others...
I cannot help but Agree with You!
👍

@Kryptid
Exactly what i expected...Bang on Target...Good Job!
👍

@bearnard1212
Very Good & Valid Assumption Indeed!
👍

@ukmicky
Perhaps We both are traveling on the same boat..in the same direction..Just that We both sit at opposite ends of the boat..& there is a brick walled sail between Us.
Hence, We are not able to see thru it & see each other as fellow travellers.
🙏

As Important Evidence sounds to You...lemme Assure you, it is equally as important to me as well.
👍
Science without proof of evidence does not remain Science, but transcends into Religion.
✌️

We have different perspectives of looking at the same thing, just like different frames of reference.

IMHO...We have gathered half a glass of sample from the swimming pool...Others might Rightfully debate it ain't even half glass, more of like half a tablespoon out of the swimming pool.

Now...to discard the whole pool by simple assumption sayin, there ain't anything substantial in the collected sample...hence there won't be anything within the pool would be a lil egoistically careless of Us.
🙏
Please try to Understand..We need Evidence & Proofs..They Only way We would Obtain Or Relinquish them, is to look for them.
We won't find anything except our own ignorance, until & unless We do not Seek!

@Kryptid
Thanks for being so prompt & answering to the point...
👍
Precision & Clarity Appreciated!
🙏

Now to take this further, step by step...

1) Would it be Wrong/Incorrect to hypothesize that Inanimate Objects/Matter took Less than a Billion years to come Alive?

2) Would it be an Error to Assume that Intelligent, Self Aware & Conscious life(say humans) took almost 3 billion years to evolve to a specific level of Science & Understanding?

&
3) Could there have been a Different anaerobic or silicon based or Entirely Different branch of Animate Life evolving parallely besides US during the first billion years which probably had No DNA/RNA specifics..could there be a possibility that happened..say a 00.00001% chance of MayBe that happened, but We do Not have any documented proofs for the same?

Anyone???

Just Chat! / The Poem!
« on: 09/08/2018 02:05:00 »
Considering a " Roses are Red " poem consists of 4 rhyming lines...

Simple Instructions :-
1)Each member can type/post only one(1) line consisting of not more than 100 to 120 characters.
2)Once you post your line then you wait your turn for at least three(3) other members to post their lines.
3)If two(2) members post a line simultaneously, the same day n same time then the ' first come first served ' rule applies and the other member should ideally delete or modify their post.
Please make sure OUR lines RHYME!

Inspired from the ' Science " roses are red " poems ' OP by Tomassci.
It was a pleasant surprise to notice we have poets in the house.
(This could also serve as an experiment of how well a diversified group of like minded people irrespective of their difference of opinions can synchronize their actions by following a simple set of instructions and come together in an orchestrated manner to create something fun, interesting and possibly beautiful.)

Like a hive mind, where there are no leaders & no followers.
Working towards a common goal but still retaining respective individualities.

P.S. - if u are a Guest n like/enjoy The Poem! then no one is stopping u from joining in & being a part of it, except for your ownself.

" Bill Gates fund converted sewage water to drinkable water... and he drank it! "

scientizscht I'm a bit dumbstruck as to how Bill Gates posting a video on YouTube drinking a glass of distilled, multi-staged vapor phase filtered, condensed, re-filtered & liquid phased aerated sewage treated water saves the world from the impending water crisis.

Could you Please be kind enough to Elaborate?

P.S. - Awaiting response n Thanks in advance.

Well it was the first step

With all due Respect, your response is irrelevantly invalid.
In short, it sucks!
Still I won't retract my Thanks in advance, you can keep it.

General Science / Re: What's the frequency of a plant cell?
« on: 24/04/2018 19:34:14 »
I was unaware of this, so Thanks for asking this Question David. 👍

" Although the explicit mechanisms through which sound emissions are created and detected in plants are not known, there are theories which shed light on possible mechanisms. Mechanical vibrations caused by charged cell membranes and walls is a leading hypothesis for acoustic emission generation. Myosins and other mechanochemical enzymes which use chemical energy in the form of ATP to produce mechanical vibrations in cells may also contribute to sound wave generation in plant cells. These mechanisms may lead to overall nanomechanical oscillations of cytoskeletal components, which can generate both low and high frequency vibrations. "

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plant_bioacoustics

Maybe an Acoustics Engineer mite see this question n answer clearly on acoustical instruments n procedures on how its measured. ✌
