Title: How do woody trees produce buds?
Post by: thedoc on 13/07/2012 20:30:01
Andrea Sonego  asked the Naked Scientists:

Hello.

On comparing phanerogams (plants that produce seeds) with conifers, which kind of physiological process or genetic system allows woody phanerogams to produce buds into their stems (either adventitious or proventitious)?

Thanks
Andrea Sonego, Italy
