Title: What is this site all about? And what can I do on it?

My first on is what this site is all about. I have seen a couple friends on it and yeah I just decided to come and see for myself.

My Second one is what can I do? I don't want to get into trouble or get blocked or anything like that.

So...Thanks for replying!

I know I have more, but I ain't sure yet.

Firstly, this forum well.. Is about science really! You can ask any broad question related to science you want, and you can nearly 100% expect someone here to answer it for you! We have some really high-level people here, with PhD's and stuff!! Very cool.. Heehee.. Oh, and the people here are extremely nice, and without a doubt, I think it's the best science forum. [;)]

Second question, what can you do... Well, there are lots you can do.. Main thing is the science, note the title of this forum "ThenakedSCIENTISTS", but that is not all to it! You can go to the chat section and talk about anything you want. Write in Diary entries, express you feelings, get to know everyone here! You can express your issues and anything you want over there.

We should all try to be civil to each other and if you and or another forum member disagree about something and it is becoming more of a tense subject we ask that you move your conversation at that point to your personal emails and keep the disagreement to yourselves. We want to be able to offer others a calm relaxed open forum which allows for a diverse set of views.

I welcome you to the forum! If you have any questions refer to your registration or a moderator . We will get back to you with a response as soon as we can .

Yeah me too, but he will be ok.. he has lots of stuff happening right now!

Well what other nice things can Simulated expect to do in this forum! I wish there was a list of topics with all the threads listed below them for people to scroll through like and index file with links to each thread! you know! That would be way cool. THe naked scientist index! LOL

He's OK - I spoke to him a week or so back (can't recollect when now) - he has other things in his life, but I'm sure he will be back.

As Karen mentioned, he often actually felt embarrassed about having the highest post count - he likes to feel anonymous, and lost in the crowd (not that it is ever his nature to be so, but then we often crave for that which we seem ever least to be able to achieve).

Who knows, maybe when it gets to the slack season in his business, he may have time to come back.

Sim.. You can be serious and still have fun.. That is what makes science fun to learn.. but it is no fun if you can't lighten the mood a bit!

By the way top left of this screen ... all about us .. click and read lots more there to, podcasts etc etc etc...

Well Uk people are mostly sleeping 8 hrs ahaead of us.. we will have a few more friends around 6:30 to 8:oo here ..it is 6:00 Pm now here in california..

I was that way in Highschool also and always did great with my grades I can imagine if I actually had applied myself I would have excelled further although I was pretty much straight A's.. LOL I did the required work and very rarely studied.. Geography was my bad spot and math although I got A's one semester it dropped to a b+ I struggled with those classes! LOL

It was in a semi with a big sleeper I rode down with my husband..we drove in late I was asleep he parked in an alley delivering to three merchants (restaurants.. during Lobster and crab season.. He was hauling live crab down fresh from the boats here in their huge water tanks all rigged with air hoses and all the amenities for safe transport! LOL I did not see anything except back of restaurants as I fell asleep!
