Title: Why does holding the button to my chin increase the range of my car remote?

When I try to locate my car in a large car park I often use the 'panic' button to momentarily set off the alarm to locate my car.Â

When I am out of range I have learned that I can hold the car alarm remote to my chin and the signal makes it to my car even when it is out of the remote's normal range.Â

What is the science happening here when I hold the remote to my chin and sets off the alarm from a greater distance?
