Title: I am trying to see if I can post excel files here

Does this work, and can you read the formulas in the cells? I am trying out Excel online to see how it works + I needed to figure out some formulas for a project at work.

I get a sign-in screen:

I don't know if it is a free account or not, or whether it opens your document.  However, I'm not inclined to sign up for services that I did not solicit and I don't need (I don't use Microsoft Software, and minimize use of any MSFT services).  Try it with some colleagues if necessary.

You can create tables here on the TNS site using BB code (very similar to the HTML format).  See the Table icon (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thenakedscientists.com%2Fforum%2FThemes%2Fnaksci3%2Fimages%2Fbbc%2Ftable.gif&hash=5cf14407724542b83ac5e5a987dac4a6).  It should be good enough for converting short tables to explain your logic.

Thank you for the feedback. A microsoft account would be free, but I can understand being wary on the internet. I have an account simply because I use hotmail for my EMAIL. I don't have excel or any MS Office stuff at home either, although I could download it with my work email for $9.95. I use Open office at home as it is free ware, and has a pretty similar spreadsheet. Do you use some sort of spreadsheet? I can post what the spreadsheet would look like from open office, but it is not the same as being able to play with various inputs - this particular one would require some knowledge of ohms law as well as measuring electromagnetic fields in a TEM Cell.

P=   64   Watts
R=   50   cell impedence
D=   0.15   meters
dB=   30.26   attenuation
V/M=   377.1236166328   calculated field
A/M=   1.0003278956   calculated field
METER=0.0602809342   calculated power meter reading

METER 0.06 = 63.7017334319 (To calculate power in cell from power meter reading)

Field in V/ M = ((Power*Resistance)^.5)/Distance in meters

A/M = (V/M)/377    (377 ohms is the impedence of free space to an EM field)

Meter reading = P/10^(dB/10)

meter reading to power in cell = meter reading *10^(dB/10)
