Title: What is your favourite xmas game?
Post by: dentstudent on 16/12/2008 11:01:37
Since we all love games (don't we?), and I have some relatives coming over (don't we all?), I thought that I would try to expand the after-dinner games selection to include some with real chocolate centres.

Are you a Pictionary freak? Do you pursue trivially? Or do you monopolise the remote?

What are the best board and non-board games that you play?

After a good Xmas feast, there are three games I like to play.

1st) See who can observe the back of their own eyelids the longest.

2nd) See how many chockies I can stuff in my gob.

3rd) See who makes it to the bog first.

Getting the dog wound up by giving it a piece of meat in a scrap of wrapping paper. It then thinks all parcels contain meat and pounces on other peoples' gifts - I'm glad to report that children find this the most upsetting. [;D]

Plopping myself down in a comfortable chair and watching (American) football - not that girly stuff where you can't use your hands.

The shade of Mama Cass lives on - in a subdued form. (FOG?)

Right, so, so far I need to get a dog, a chimney, some bones, a sports channel that plays an 80 minute game over the course of about 4 hours, and some sort of girlie game where she can't use her hands. I'll plump for the latter, if that's ok?

Christmas doesn't really start until you've got rid of your first lot of carol singers - which method of disposal do you prefer?

Humphrey Littleton suggested once on ISIHAC the thing to say is "Don't stand there freezing on the step - go away" [;D]

Um, Karen. You appeared to have turned "carol" into a verb. Or a noun. (MIST). (Tentative FOG).

I've looked up "Caroler" and found "Caroller" for one who sings carols, but it seems that it is American only. Is there an English version, anyone?

I think she is the grand daughter of the inventor of the sewing machine.
