Color is not mass, the tape is mass, the paint you use to paint with has mass. Color has no mass it is just reflected light from the object you see. The tape exists and has color,, you put it on your computer screen and you see it on your computer screen. Does that mean that you duplicated matter and created the tape or is it just a copy of the tape and the color there in. Light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which goes some radio waves to radioactive waste if you consider color which is part of that spectrum to be an entity, what about the heat for your fire. That's part of the electromagnetic spectrum with that be an entity also how can the same thing have 2 different entities. Based on these arguments your theory is inaccurate color is not a state of matter..
Color is not a thing it is just how your eye perceives that part of the electromagnetic spectrum, and again if it was you have to count for the entire electromagnetic spectrum, not just one piece of it.
The only thing doubled* in your original cine film image is its height, which is corrected by a special projection lens ... [ Invalid Attachment ] see ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anamorphic_format[ * actually a bit more than doubled : 2.4x ]
