hey...I'm doing a project about cashew apples...
I really need info's bout the usage of cashew apples...
I've heard that the apple itself has an unpleasant taste but it is usually made to juices good for those who have cancer, but I'm still not sure about it though..

Medicinal Uses: Cashew apple juice, without removal of tannin, is prescribed as a remedy for sore throat and chronic dysentery in Cuba and Brazil. Fresh or distilled, it is a potent diuretic and is said to possess sudorific properties. The brandy is applied as a liniment to relieve the pain of rheumatism and neuralgia.
When I searched I found nothing about cancer. Cashew nuts are poisonous before roasting but the process drives off the toxins - I didn't know that. Perhaps the un-roasted "apple" when diluted can have some benefit BUT I DO NOT KNOW. Try at your own risk.

While fighting prostate cancer myself, I found that a common Chinese herb test high in anti-cancer activity - 10 or 20% improvement in outcome. This plant was also related to Poison Ivy as the cashew plant is.
Quote from Above link:
"The cashew (Anacardium occidentale Linnaeus) is a broadleaf evergreen tree native to the Neotropics (tropical Americas). The cashew is a member of the Anacardiaceae, the family of sumacs and poison ivy. Like other members of its family, the cashew causes painful rashes and even severe allergic reactions from handling the plant parts."
The one I found was the Croton plant. Here is a link to the Science Daily article on it.
