And when someone just takes their fingers and rubs them along your body (now don't get no nasty thouhgts)

why does it feel better when you love the person doint it?

I think, if applied for other species of animals, probably be what is considered 'grooming'.

Firstly, physical contact is one of the most primitive forms of communication; but amongst many species of animal, it is also a useful way of helping each other remove parasites from the surface of the body (this is probably only applicable to humans when we comb each others hair, and would not apply to simply the rubbing of the body).

One of the things it possibly does (among many specious of animal) is the physical contact allows one animals to leave its scent upon another animal, so marking it as a friend.

But, I suppose the bottom line is (at least for humans) that it comes down to communication.  It is far easier to lie with words than lie with a touch.

Ah I see now. Makes since. So we are so advanced, yet we aren't if it can be related right back to primative things?
