Why does lack of sleep affect the eyes so much?

Because when we suffer from the lack of sleep then our tear ducts
may dehydrate and need the sleep to stop that happening.

Also sleeping is good for the health, as some doctors have said.

Why would sleep be related to tear duct dehydration? We don't have any trouble producing tears when tired.

Perhaps you may want to expand you question, what effect on the eyes are you asking about?

Why would sleep be related to tear duct dehydration? We don't have any trouble producing tears when tired.

Because whenever I get over tired then my tear ducts get very dry and hurt.


Paul I agree with you that this question does need expanding on.
