Title: Kitchen Science AC
Post by: AllenG on 24/07/2008 08:03:50
It was 38ºC today and my air conditioner is shot.
Y'all need to come up with a Kitchen Science AC because the wet towel I have hanging in front of a box fan just is not cutting it.

Empty all the food out of the fridge and then get in and shut the door. Children under 11 should not try this.

Good on Britain, Air Conditioning is only needed in Britain for about two weeks a year so why fit it? Just wear less clothes and suck cool mints and spray yourself with iced water.

Brits have no idea what heat is. 25 C is a heat wave - but for here it is quite pleasant.

So how did the English ever manage to hold the Indian subcontinent? Mass hypnosis? Mass insanity - schizophrenics don't notice the high temperatures. They even walk around in a woolen overcoat in 40 C weather without even sweating. I do believe the schizoid solution is the best reason.

The Island of Britain must be one large parking lot for loonies.

My money says it was because of the gin and tonics.

That does leave one disoriented - the average British person could be led anywhere in a stupor of Gin. The tonic came as a result of to many of the staff dieing of malaria.

British people just like to be properly dressed for all events. One would feel naked without an overcoat. The only concession is to take off the goose greese wrap for warmer countries.

Monty Python used to do a sketch called spot the loony, which is ironic as they were all loonies and most brits are.
