Thomas Moore asked the Naked Scientists:
I walk 2-3 km three times a week, usually in 30-45 minutes. I weigh within ten percent of my ideal weight. Is someone who runs marathons or does weight training more fit than I am?
What do you think?

A marathon runner is 45% [:o] more efficient than a normal person! Hmm... don't know about body builders, definitely not weighlifters because they're strength rather than endurance based.

Depends on what fit is. I'm distance running fit. I wouldn't be swimming fit though becuase I don't do much of that.
But generally today people think fit is all about no fat, right?
I'm 140 pounds 5 foot 8, six pack. I dont think I could really lose anymore weight because all the weight I do have is in muscle. So, i'd say I'm in that generilzation of fit.
The marothon runner is marthon fit, you are walking fit. I guess it's all about personal opions.
