I really like a lot of the gadgets on the market these days , albeit like you said there seems to a lot! I really don't see so many that are for bad purposes unless you want to include certain guns and things that seem a bit over the top for the normal citizen..

I do agree that we have come a very long ways in technology and chemistry.. but I must remember that any thing can be used for the wrong pperposes even a childs toy,.. but the main purposes in the advanced technologies are opening up incredible opportunities for growth in our world and alternative to possibly negative use of our natural resources... I am glad to see some of the technology get footholds so we can save some of the natural things here and learn better ways to produce the things we need and also save our environment at the same time..

Karen - I wouldn't call a gun a "gadget". I know that the term implies a useful "tool" for a given purpose, but it also implies novelty. I suppose at a stretsh that being shot might be a "novelty", but not a happy one!

LOL I don't consider them gadgets either, that's why I said, "unless you want to include"...LOL.. I figured he meant many other gadgets and cool things on the market that do different things.. LOL

Here's a typical 'gadget'
(https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi20.ebayimg.com%2F03%2Fi%2F08%2Ff0%2F1b%2Fc4_1.JPG&hash=bbe3efe73b0a639d69fd5eb5e28f8128)

It's a solar powered bird feeder.

Yes, it lights up at night....... when the birds have gone home to their nests!!!!

But it would be useful for nocturnal birds, which can see in the dark, soooooooo.... erm.... don't need a light. (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbestsmileys.com%2Fclueless%2F1.gif&hash=ba6e884e2ac18d739c0e89967c82862b)

I'm off to fit an ashtray to my neighbour's motorcycle, just as soon as I've made myself a cup of tea in my new chocolate tea pot.

I want to order it, but there is not postal code!

In which country is your WONDER LUNAR LIGHT™ made? Does it create pollution during its fabrication? How about toxic waste after disposal? Is it durable? What sort of batteries does it need to operate? How often do they need replacement? Will there be an upgrade that makes this light obsolete soon? How long do you offer tech-support for this model? Can it be repaired or does it just get thrown out and replaced when damaged?
