I recycle, use energy saving lightbulbs, don't leave anything on standby, have insulating and double glazing etc.
However i would like to know what other people do to help prevent global global warming - that means you as well.
If you don't do anything, here is some links to help you get started, because i would hate to try my best to help prevent global warming just for other people to do nothing. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/global-warming-solutions.html (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/global-warming-solutions.html)

I know companies do a lot of damage but if the everyday public do their bit at least it's a help.

I stand outside at least four hours a day and hold a mirror aloft to increase the Earths albedo. [;D]
-
do you really though?
-
I try not to breath as much.

No, tangoblue, sadly I dont. I do however take public transportation every day to and from school, use energy efficient lighting (natural lighting when possible), greatly minimize the use of heat/AC (which may explain why I am sick again), hand wash dishes much of the time, and wear my jeans more than once before I wash them (unless of course theyre visibly dirty!) Unfortunately I am
a student poor so I have to deal with a very energy inefficient apartment for now, but I CAN guarantee that my carbon footprint is exponentially lower than Al Gore's or James Hansen's.
btw...I wasnt meaning to trivialize your topic. I think energy/waste conservation is very admirable for many good reasons, though CO2 does not top my personal list. One point of note, though...the companies that are heavy polluters provide a service to the people in some form or another or they would not exist, which would mean that we are, in a round about way, the ones doing the polluting.
I try not to breath as much.
I tried that, but I passed out and breathed just as much as before. Infuriating.

I try to follow Al Gore's lead but my finances don't run to a Gulfstream just yet. [:D]

I brought a bike.
-
I eat as much beef as possible to rid the world of methane producers

I brought a bike.
Everyone should have access to a bike!

denstudent, any vegetarians on this site won't be very happy with you.
PS. or vegans or fruitarians etc.

I should probably learn how to ride it now.

I have access to five cycles.Four bicycles and one otto cycle.I like the otto cycle the best.

My goodness! How do you ride you Otto cycle? Is it useful? Or do you get on it and just DIESEL-erate, going nowhere?

That's a good idea - but I've found that as I get older my albedo naturally decreases on its own. [:I]

I decided to do what I know best: Inform people how to do it better (and live cheaper in the process). I put together a website to inform anyone in North America (and anyone else who cares) how to pollute less and use fewer resources in every way and in every area of life I could imagine. The site is called http://www.polluteless.com. I am learning a lot more technical things every day though and will have to look it over again to make sure I am not giving bad advice.
I also decided to make a game to teach people about environmental connections available to the public for free. It is called "Survival" and I developed it at my school based on two games called "Werewolf" or "Mafia". The kids love playing it and it usually makes at least a small bit of difference. The teachers who played it with me liked it a lot too. So far the pdf files have been downloaded mostly in Great Britain. Anyhow, if you are curious, it is here: http://www.playsurvial.org
And I stopped using the clothes drier, eat almost no meat, heat the house as little as possible, eliminated all air drafts in our old house and reduced our heating bill quite a bit, will soon move close enough to work to be able to bike, take 5 minute showers (occasionally not every day), and refuse to consume/buy what I do not absolutely need. I am afraid, I am bad for the economy though. And I am still far from where I want to be as a human being.

To help prevention of global warming, it is necessary to lower emission of technical gases in atmosphere!

I save energy as much as I can, but I do it because I don't like waste, I don't think it will prevent or slow down global warming. It should be seen as, and encouraged for what it is rather than as a preventative measure.
Instead I watch the politicians (and scientists) drive around in big limos with escorts, getting on and off of planes, having an entourage of advisors with them, staying in expensive air-conditioned hotels, in order to attend meetings to discuss how best to reduce the worlds carbon footprint. [::)]
And then they advise me to switch off my stand-by button. [???]

None of these actions does anything for global warming - they just make you feel good about (read superior) yourself.
For me - I drive my caddy at 70 mph most of the time, BarBQ every night, leave all my lights on, sneak out early in the morning and put my neighbors' recycled into the trash bin, use only incandescent bulbs (bought a pant load before they were banned), have a picture of Al Gore painted on the bottom inside of my toilet, buy only non-recycled stuff and fart alot,

Well, as long as it makes you feel bad about yourself and inferior to others it is fine.

more ever just reduce pollution and elimination of carbon gases in atmosphere through industries... if we join hands together we would be able to take control over this ..
not today but for the futre

I used to play "mafia" at summer camp in the adirondacks, which is near vermont! I am now a teacher, I find your game very interesting, children would love it.
-
Yes, the kids love this game. They ask me all the time to play it. And it changes their attitudes. Thanks!
