Alex Yockey asked the Naked Scientists:
Hello,
Â
I am a regular listener to the two naked scientist podcasts (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/) and I had a couple of questions.Â
Every summer I spend as much time as possible outside and as a result I am covered in mosquito bites. I seem to have more bites than someone who is sitting right next to me.Â
Do mosquitoes select particular people and what would cause that?Â
Also, when you are clothed the bites are obviously concentrated on your arms and legs and sometimes ears. But, if you were standing around in the buff would they prefer one part of the body over another?
Thank you,
Alex Yockey
