Title: Why Do I Like Some Stuff And Dislike Other ?

Hippy Freeday everybody !...I am well knackered !!


Dearest Peeps Who Know So Much That Make Me Awe In Every Way,

As a sheepy, I of course luff stuff !..take music for instance.

and music of the past."  sang John Miles in 1976....

.....clearly John Miles when he wrote "Music" had never heard country & western...for, if he had, he would have worked it into his lyrics thusly

Music was my first love (Except Country & Western which makes me puke !)
and it will be my last((Except Country & Western which makes me want to heave !)
Music of the future(Except Country & Western which sounds like cats fitting !)
and music of the past. (Except Country & Western which makes me reach for a bucket !)

yes..yes..I think my new lyrics complement and enhance this tune !


So, this got me wondering...why do I luff certain types of muzak but find other types slightly disagreeable to my aural palate  ?

Have I been conditioned by my lifestyle ?..was my upbringing a dominant force in my choices ?.......If conditioning is part of the reason then can I be reconditioned to like certain muzak ?


In fact why do we like anything and dislike other things ?


Ewe see, if I knew the answer I would not go to this much trouble to ask because...well..I simply do not know. Now, I have to do shopping later on tonight and there is a slight chance that I may be forced to endure some muzak I hate whilst queueing to pay....it would be nice to know so at least I could rationalise my answer as to why I have vomited onto the moving slidey counter till thing !

Your amendments to those lyrics are..... well...... lyrical, I suppose.
