[?]why do snails like to hang under the lid of the container???

Interesting question !

I've got a snail who's decided to sleep stuck to my window at the moment...

I'm going to have to do some digging around to answer your question though!

it could be cuz there are lots of poop at the bottom of the container....

Snail contest: see if whose poop drops the fastest[:D][:D][:D]

Well, I just hope we do get the answer.

This is a very important field of Study. I may even leave a questionnaire for the snails to complete.

Its probably due to moisture,the underside of things would retain the morning dew longer than the top side exposed to the sun , so being in the shade or underneath may prevent them from drying out.
