Dam Chinese products. Surely there must be a plastic that lasts longer than 3 months?

I think it has some to do with UV deterioration.. especially if left out in the weather.. warm cold sunny etc...

Right, I'll hang my clothes up in the dark room from now on.

LOL..LOL.. I was talking about leaving the pins on the line when the clothes are done...LOL... No dark rooms... LOL..

I have some that are years old, they are kept in a bag indoors when not in use. Cheap plastics do degrade when exposed to UV in sunlight, as do the wooden pegs. The older wooden pegs have thicker bodies and stiffer springs, they last the best, some are probably 20 plus years old.

Yes I agree!

Yep, in the last few weeks all of my plastic pegs have broken!! Highly annoying.

I am sorry maybe you can find some ne ones that may stand up to the weather.
-
Or maybe I should bring them indoors after use. I need to get a nice peg bag.

Maybe your clothes line is too thick [;D]
You can get old fashioned wooden ones and the spring type through Amazon

I always bring mine in.. ..You can easily make a bag using that slides along your line with a old wire coat hanger,, untwist the hanger make a 8 or 10 inch tube from fabric fold over 1/4 inch of top and stich all the way round.. then fold that over to the back of print about 1/2 inch and stich along edge of fold forming a casing for the wire to slide thru... reshape the hanger botomm half into a circle or oval .. your preference really then re-twist the hanger back together, leaving the original hanger hook for sliding along ahead of you on the line.. It makes it easier to hang.. I always wear a apron and keep all my clothes pins in the apron so when I come in I just hang the apron on a hook in washroom or the closet...
