The guy sitting next to Mr Chicken&Fish was certainly unfortunate, (particularly if an emergency evacuation was necessary).

Mr C&F should have booked two seats: one for each buttock.

That's 'cos he's sitting on the armrest.

I can't imagine they would take off with him like that. Presumably they did give him two seats.

Would someone like to explain why I (all 68Kg of me) got charged for my bags being a few kilos over the limit?

I'm sure I heard somewhere that one carrier (hmm, let me see, could it have been Ryanair) was considering charging excess weight for hefty passengers, as they recognise that the total baggage/person load on the plane was greater for these people, so why should normal sized passengers suffer? Or maybe it was just another way of getting more money out of people? I don't think they were letting slim people take more luggage.

I think some US airlines planned to require some passenegers to buy two seats, but I'm not sure if they ever implemented it.
