Up until last week, an analytical research chemist for a national laboratory. After DOE budget cuts (thanks neo-cons!) I'm unemployed and looking for just about anything.
Planning to start graduate school next year for a PhD or MD/PhD program in some sort of biomedical science, possibly neuroscience or immunology or something. I'm interested in so many things it's hard to narrow it down.

1) Thank you
2) Stop grovelling! [:D]
It's actually music that is once again taking up the majority of my time. Just last night I recorded a version of Air from Orchestral Suite 3 in D by J S Bach (better known as "Air on a G string"). I find playing music extremely therapeutic.
-
I mess around on the old joanna and a yammy keyboard when I can, (can't read music though which has certainly kept me back all these years) but for me listening to music is the only way I can relax. I am deeply passionate about it.
Trouble is with 4 kids and a wifey, it's difficult to lock myself away in the music room...I do feel guilty. Today was a treat though.. I had the house to myself for a few hours...bliss !!
Am impressed by your musical expertise and am not (by your request as per your point 2 in above post) in ' curry favour ' mode.
How can one also enjoy your version of ' air in my g-string ' ?...have you laid down a hard house east coast techno version or have you gone down the ambient route ala M Manson ?...actually....I do like classical too and would love to hear your stuff....

You like ambient music by any chance ?
Ian
Men are not the same was women, which ever way you cut it
-
Ian - I like GOOD music. I don't particularly care what genre. Ambient, like other styles, has its good & its bad.
-
I agree, I'm not exclusive in my tastes, which range as far apart as from Opera to Dance. I was wondering if Neil liked ambient, especially the Cafe Del Mar collection.
Ian
I luv2dance
-
My taste ranges from madrigals to Cradle Of Filth [:D]
-
i grew up amongst music lovers and so my tastes are far and wide from classical to grunge, from michael ball to marilyn manson......my main love is prog rock...YES, ELP etc....which is nice !
