Title: Would a magnetic wall attract a bullet?

Anyway,I have a question for the Naked Scientists:

If I fire a bullet from a gun,aiming to to a wall covered with magnets, will the magnets enhance the speed,as it gets closer to the magnet?

Post by: LeeE on 14/01/2010 23:52:33: If the bullet is made out of lead, or any other non-magnetic material, then no, it won't. If the bullet is made out of a magnetic material then the difference it would make would be tiny, and probably beyond easy measurement.
