Title: Lets build a spaceship

This one is more for fun,

Ok I wan't to build a space ship to visit my friends near alpha centuri, then my family in Andromeda also anywhere else in the local cluster of galaxies that any of you guys wan't to visit [;D], and it needs to be in a lifetime!. So lets see how many ideas we can get for the different parts of the ship (with an explanation of the physics behind it of course :P) eg a dark matter engine. Everything has to be considered i.e shielding from radiation to food storage.

Hope to hear some unique ideas!  [:P]

You can't go real fast, when you get near c CMBR photons begin to look like gamma rays that will quickly fry you.

So what would you suggest to help prevent this? Maybe a different form of travel? Such as folding space?
