Physicist and Scientist all around the world are bewildered by the complexity of Dark Matter. It is estimated that around 26 % of the whole energy-mass concentration of the universe consists of Dark Matter.

Dark Matter can be the Dark Energy which has been converted into matter following Einstein's famous Equation E=MC2
When the Universe initially came into existence, a force called Dark Energy ruled it. It lead to the rapid expansion of the Universe, and is responsible for the expansion that can currently be witnessed.
But, when the expansion rate started to cross the Critical velocity ( the speed of light ), the energy was converted into matter.
After many several years, when all the Dark Energy would be converted into Dark matter, the Universe will then go through a period of contraction ( due to the gravitational force of the matter ), and this will ultimately lead to the Big Crunch.

Ah, I think physicists just needed you to remind that! [:)]
(Of course they know how to make a divisions by c2)

Dark Matter is Deus Ex Machina.

As is Dark Energy; so where does that leave current cosmological thinking?
