Title: ECZEMA
Post by: kimkat27 on 05/02/2006 23:35:47
hello,

i found some flesh-colored bumps on the backs of my thighs and they have now spread to my back and my chin. they don't itch or hurt, they are just gross.  i went to the dermatologist and he diagnosed me with Ketosis Polaris, a form of eczema, and prescribed a cream to put on twice daily. it hasn't been working so far.

i noticed when i went on vacation late last year either the salt water in the ocean or the chlorine in the pool cleared it up temporarily.

i wonder:  does anybody know any home remedies for eczema? it would be much appreciated!

thank you!

Hey Kim - I had eczema on my hands (I think).  Little clear blisters that popped and spread.  They itched and burned.  I had some lotion called Honey Bee.  This stuff is awesome.  It's supposed to "cure" all kinds of skin problems.  It even helped clear up acne on my daughter.  It's expensive, about $20.00 for 8 oz, but it worked for me.  Web address is www.honeybeez.com, or phone number is 407-238-1325.

Hey Kim,

I know you're specifically asking for home remedies but I found this link which is more general using conventional medicines, however, there is a paragraph about moisturisers..check it out HERE (http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/en.aspx?articleId=585§ionId=8048)

What about some good quality organic Aloe Vera? (with no additives). I beleive Aubrey do one. I'm not in the US so I cant recomend a supplier.
