Title: Hi from a new member

Hi all

Just a quick post to introduce myself to the forum.

I'm Chris, 30 years old, male and from England.  I'm a PhD student (immunology/microbiology), keen photographer, guitarist and general nerd (including the above, you can add cars and real ale to my "nerd list").

Gladly :)

I'm studying the lipids of the bacterium that causes tuberculosis.  The TB bug has a lot of lipids attached to its outer surface and many of them are recognised by the immune system.  My job is to try to identify new lipids, work out how the immune system detects them and see if they are of any use in the future, perhaps as vaccines, drug targets or adjuvants.
