humidity, rains, storms, winds, clouds, spreading spores and microorganisms in both water and air. Taking up CO2 balancing the planets respiration, transporting heat in its streams, creating the first food chain for all life. And a thousand things more, that is if you was referring to a planet like Earth?

A 'water planet' would be different.
